Iraqi Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki, faced strong opposition on Monday against his insistence to announce the formation of an "incomplete" government, the pan-Arab daily AL HAYAT reported on Tuesday. Opposition was launched by members of the Iraqiya list led by former Iraqi Premier Iyad Allawi, Kurds and the Sadarist movement headed by Moqtada al-Sadar, the daily added. The Parliament was scheduled to vote on a new government on Monday; however, due political disagreements over ministerial posts it was delayed until Tuesday. Iraqi Parliament re-scheduled the cabinet vote for Tuesday although Maliki said late on Monday he had not made permanent choices for all the ministerial portfolios. "Trust me, it was a very difficult task to form a government in a country like Iraq," Maliki said at a news conference, Reuters reported. "It was a very difficult task because you have to find a place in the government for everybody, not only for those who won but everyone who participated.
